Deva Technologies offer a complete hardware design service encompassing every aspect of the design cycle from concept generation and schematic capture through to full PCB layout and prototyping.


Circuit design & simulation can be fully performed using our PSPICE compatible toolset.

Schematic capture is performed using our industry standard toolset with compatibility for all major layout packages. (Pulsonix, Altium, Cadstar, ORCAD, EdWin etc.)

FPGA design & verification
Following RTCA DO-254, a similar design process to software DO-178B & C. to meet the requirements for complex airborne hardware.

VHDL code is developed, synthesised, place & routed using vendor specific IDE tools and verified using ModelSim and in-house developed testbench code ensuring 100% code coverage and traceability to requirements.



We have spent many years specialising in electronic hardware design in such areas as:

Analogue & Mixed Signal Design including sensor interfacing, ultrasonics, Audio electronics, A/D and D/A conversion, Infra red, Data acquisition, Load cell interfacing, Power supply and distribution, battery backup and monitoring.

Serial communication standards using SSI, SPI, I²C, CAN, RS232, RS422, RS485, MIL-STD-1553, USB and Ethernet. Specialist aerospace interfacing standards such as ARINC429 and ARINC664 (AFDX).


High speed data communications over copper and fibre optics ranging from 100MB/s to 2GB/s and beyond using Ethernet, Fibre channel and Rocket I/O standards.

Digital Design from simple discrete logic to complex multi CPLD/FPGA high speed designs on controlled impedance multilayer boards, VME, PC based PCI, PCIe and ISA interface cards.

Embedded Microprocessor Systems using industry standard microprocessors and microcontrollers from Texas Instruments, NXP, ST, ARM, Motorola, Microchip, Atmel, Mitsubishi, Dallas, Intel and AMD.

MMI/HMI Man Machine/Human Machine interface design including touch screen display systems, keypad decoding and joysticks.

Control systems design multi axis motor control, fluid and pneumatic control and environmental monitoring systems.

Power electronics design including SMPS, power conversion, Trapezoidal brushless DC motor drives and Sinusoidal and FOC based motor drives ranging in power from 100W to 120kW.
